Of course it's not the same thing. The concepts of a good man and a gentleman are different. Kindness means being kind to others and doing things that are friendly to them. A gentleman has high standards, both external and internal. External appearance, slender figure, internal knowledge, cultivation, ability, ambition, IQ, self-restraint and so on.
Therefore, although they are all pseudonyms, hypocrites are easy to disguise, as long as they pretend to be nice to others. But it's hard to pretend to be a hypocrite.
