Chestnut has two common storage methods:

(2) Cold storage method: it is an important storage method for chestnut exported from China. Generally, the storage temperature should be kept at 0 ~ 5℃, the fluctuation should be as small as possible, the relative humidity should be above 80%, and the carbon dioxide concentration during storage should not be higher than 3%.
Castanea mollissima palletizing should be strictly managed in batches, well ventilated and palletized, and the palletizing spacing should be kept above 1m, which is convenient for sample sampling and keeps air circulation.

Chestnut can be planted in hills, mountains, barren slopes and beaches, and has strong adaptability to environmental conditions. But if it exceeds its adaptability, it will grow poorly, with low yield and poor quality. Therefore, chestnut trees should also be cultivated in suitable places.
Chestnut is a light-loving tree species. When flowering, the light is sufficient and the air is dry, so it will blossom and bear good fruit. Therefore, chestnut trees should be planted on semi-sunny slopes, sunny slopes or open areas. Although the northern chestnut is drought-resistant, it still has certain requirements for water during its growing period. Proper water supply in new shoots and fruit growth period can improve the quality of new shoots and fruit size; Although southern chestnut is drought-tolerant, it is still necessary to pay attention to drainage and waterlogging prevention in rainy season or during the year. The suitable soil water content of chestnut is 30%-40%. When it exceeds 60%, it is easy to rot. Below 12%, the tree is weak. At 9%, the tree died. Therefore, attention should be paid to irrigation and drainage in cultivation.
