Can you go to heaven just because you are a vegetarian? Herbivores are natural vegetarians. Are they all born? Confused.

Being a vegetarian doesn't necessarily kill you in heaven. The so-called practice is spiritual proof, and the unity of mind and action can prove a high level. No matter whether you are in Tibet or not, whether you are a Lama or a highly conscious person, even so, you must abide by the commandments set by the Buddha. Generally speaking, if you ask a monk if he is allowed to eat meat, some people will say no, because if someone eats meat, someone will be killed. If no one eats meat. So eating meat has a great relationship with killing, which also shows that killing is largely caused by eating meat. Is that really the case? Specific problems need specific analysis. If someone uses pearls, their use of pearls will lead to the death of mussels. Some people also wear some special clothes, such as satin. Silk also comes from some animals or silkworms, so anyone wearing this kind of clothes or any animal products is also a kind of killing. Similarly, if no one eats meat anymore, they will eat food such as grain, which will also cause many insects that originally lived underground to be turned over to the ground, and those insects that lived on the ground are buried underground, which will also kill many sentient beings. Because of the existence of sheep, people will kill sheep, so being a sheep is also a problem and a karma. Therefore, being one of them does not mean that you have really created bad karma. There used to be a butcher who killed pigs in China. Every day, he kills a pig, and his knife is always red. Sometimes he thinks, "Why do I have to kill pigs every day?" Then he thought, "It's not because I want to kill pigs, but because people need to eat and pork, so I will kill pigs." He comforted himself that he was not too bad. There is a temple nearby. There is a big clock in the temple. Every morning when the bell rings, the butcher will get up and kill the pig. One morning, the butcher overslept and got up late, but it was too late to kill the pig. The pig that was supposed to be killed gave birth to ten piglets. Because the bell of the temple didn't ring that day, the butcher went to the temple and asked the monk why he didn't ring the bell. The monk told him that he had a dream the night before, in which ten sentient beings came to him and asked him, "Please help us!" " So the big monk asked, "How can I save you?" The little pigs replied, "You just don't need to ring that big clock tomorrow morning to save us." "The monk said to the butcher," So, I didn't ring the doorbell! ""The butcher was so moved that he never killed pigs again. What I want to say is that ringing the bell has also become the fate of killing pigs in this story, so maybe sometimes we shouldn't even ring the bell, because someone may kill pigs for it. So it's just one of the reasons, not the real cause of the problem. But does the Buddha allow monks to eat meat? It is mentioned in the Petunia (discipline) of the Buddha that meat is allowed in some cases and certain kinds of meat are not allowed. It is also mentioned that those (allowed meat) should not be eaten often, but can be eaten under certain circumstances. There used to be such a saying. But in general, it is very important that you should not eat meat as far as Mahayana is concerned. I heard that Sanjing meat can be eaten with meat that is different from the three situations. For example, not for your own enjoyment, and so on. But because you are so persistent and eager for the delicious meat, you may not know whether the meat is specially made for you (killing people for you). Sometimes people are so obsessed with meat that they even run to ask others, "Please give me some meat!" " "I was also very persistent when I was a child. I like meat very much. The meat is finished quickly, and there is no meat where I live, but sometimes monks haven't finished eating meat, because they eat it carefully, so I will let them take meat from the monk's kitchen. Because I ate meat at that time, it also influenced others to eat meat. If I love meat, people around me will be influenced by me because I will give them meat. I will say, "I want to eat steamed buns, please give me some meat steamed buns." Then others will eat meat buns. So the Buddha said that bodhisattvas should not eat any meat. Because we have such a strong tendency to insist and eat meat, it is good for a novice Bodhisattva to abstain from eating meat. When you go to a restaurant and say, "Please give me some chicken." You don't know whether they have prepared chicken or whether they will kill it. So bodhisattvas should not eat meat. When I say "bodhisattva" here, I don't mean the great bodhisattva like Guanyin and Jingangpani, or the higher-level bodhisattva, but the ordinary bodhisattva like us. Anyone who is willing to contribute to the well-being of all beings can be called a bodhisattva. According to Bodhisattva Cheng, even if the meat of the Three Classics is allowed to be eaten, the Bodhisattva or novice Bodhisattva should not eat it. Because we are so obsessed with the taste that we don't realize what mistakes we will make, it is not good to eat meat. Therefore, eating meat is forbidden in Bodhisattva. When we say this, we don't mean that it is bad, because it is allowed to eat meat. That's not true. Furthermore, we should treat all beings as our own children, so when we eat meat, it seems that we abandon those beings who should be as precious as our children for food. Therefore, it seems that eating meat is not only forbidden or despised from the perspective of Bodhisattva, but also considered bad from the perspective of hearing and seeing. The meat you slaughter or smell, or the meat you are not sure whether it is slaughtered specifically for your consumption, is unclean. Instead of meat specially killed for you, as mentioned above-no killing, no killing, no doubt not for you, and it is not allowed to eat in Bodhisattva riding. But in Tibet, we often eat meat specially provided for us. If a very important Lama or several lamas go to a village, the people in the village immediately kill a sheep or a yak, and then the Lama says some spells and thinks there is no problem, which is not good. Even though he is a very powerful Lama, he thinks there is no problem in doing so, but there is a problem, because the Buddha said that one should not eat the meat of any animal specially prepared for you or slaughtered for your enjoyment. Once there was a Lama in Amdo, a monk of the Juenang Sect, and a man wanted to ask the Lama to bless his wine. This man came to the Lama with wine for blessing, because he thought the blessed wine could be used to drink. But the Lama said, "I don't know what to do. I don't know how to bless. " In Tibet, sometimes people strangle yaks to prevent them from breathing. The Lama said, "In that case, if you strangle an animal and then bless it, isn't it already dead?" So again, I can't add wine and let you drink it. "So, whether in Tibet or not, whether lamas or people with high consciousness, even so, we must abide by the commandments formulated by the Buddha. There are many masters and successful people in India and many great successful people in Tibet, but they don't say, "I have achieved it, I can do anything, I can eat meat and drink wine." "There has never been such a thing, and it should not be like this. As far as the kagyu school is concerned, we should take a good look at what the masters of the kagyu school did and said about eating meat. ShakpaRinpoche, a guru who stopped paying tribute and karma, once said, "My students, if someone eats or uses meat and says it is a gift or sacrifice, they completely abandon me and turn their backs on Buddhism. "I won't explain everything it refers to in detail here. What he said is:" Anyone who uses meat and says it is a good thing has completely abandoned Buddhism and me. They have nothing to do with Buddhism anymore. " He speaks very, very harshly. Other great gurus once said the same thing. Each of them said that if someone eats meat and thinks it is allowed, it is unthinkable, because it is never right or good. It has been mentioned in some places that as far as Vajrayana is concerned, if someone has a strong ability to cross over the sentient beings he eats, maybe such a person can eat meat, otherwise, he can't eat meat. Sometimes we also talk about using five meats and five honey. According to Kamei Chakme Rinpoche, if a person is fully enlightened, only in this way can he eat meat. If you say that Vajrayana mentioned this five meat and five honey in many places, what is it? That's only for those who are deeply rooted, he said. Otherwise, it's like putting feces or urine on the altar. Very bad. We don't like it. We feel sick. Feeding is not to satisfy the host, not because they are hungry or thirsty and need us to give them food and drink. That was not the case. Why should we sacrifice? Because we need to accumulate good deeds ourselves. Mikyo Dorje, the 8th King of Dabao Law, also instructed that if meat is provided during guktor at the end of the year, for example, meat or wine is provided in Mahagarafa, which he strictly prohibited. He said, "If you do this, I am not your guru, and you are not my disciple or follower, not at all. "VIII Karmapa once said that in all temples in Okakura Kaju, you don't need to offer any wine and meat, just some fruits. I once heard that in Sikkim, guktor or Mahagarafa, meat must be eaten at the end of the year. If Mahabharata appears in person, maybe he will eat some meat, which may be ok, but if we drink and eat meat for Mahabharata, it will have no influence at all, which is not good. In addition, Mikyo Dorje mentioned in his book Dungarza that there are eight things that monks must give up, such as wine, meat and weapons. I can't remember what each one is, but it is also described in Do Palmo Che. The most important things are wine, meat and weapons. Mikyo Dorje said you can't even look at these things. If you don't give up these eight things, you don't belong to the kagyu school. You should leave at once or sit somewhere else. He said so. Moreover, he also said that if you eat meat, then you don't belong to the kagyu school. So now we don't even know if we still belong to the kagyu school. Before his birth, Jiang Gongkang repeatedly said that he had been praying to be reincarnated as a person who no longer eats meat. We can read many such things, and there are many similar quotations. We should put it into action. How can we put it into action? Eating meat is explicitly forbidden in all these classics, such as Do Lanka Shepa and Na Nyen Le Depa Do. Even if meat is allowed in some places, it does not mean encouraging or advocating it. No one has ever said that eating meat is good, or that there is no illness. It's just that for some people who can't eat meat at once, it's more convenient to allow such people to eat meat temporarily, that's all. In Tibet, Gaju, Nyima, Sakya, Gru and Juenang are forbidden to eat meat-I don't know much about Bobo. Here I want to say one thing about myself. When I was very young, about eleven or twelve years old, a palmist looked at my palm print and said, "When I am twenty-three or four years old, there will be obstacles. "But at that time, I was still young and didn't take it to heart, then I forgot, and then I came to India. About five or six years later, I had a dream in which a Lama said, "A palmist once told you that you would have obstacles. Do you remember? " I replied, "I remember." Then he said, "That's an obstacle in your life. "Usually, I am not afraid of death. I'm from Kangba, so I pretend to be brave. But in that dream, I was very scared. When I woke up, my heart was still beating fast. This is a dream, but I think there will be some obstacles. If people like me can live a long life, I wonder if it will be of great use. But since I was eight years old, I have been cared for by temples and Buddhism. My only wish is to take care of Buddhism, sangha and temples, even a little help. Until now, all my thoughts and actions have never been negative. If all goes well, I am determined to serve Buddhism and all sentient beings. And to get rid of that obstacle, I think the most important thing is to care for living things, so don't eat meat again. I think this is the most important thing. It is very important to stop eating meat, both from the overall point of view and from the individual point of view. In addition, this year or next year, the obstacle year of Venerable Jawa Rinpoche is coming, especially last year, Venerable Jawa Rinpoche has completely banned the wearing of wild animal fur. It is very important to take action now! Now I have some plans to announce. First of all, take a deep breath: if you are a disciple of Okakura Sect, no matter you are a monk, a nun or a family member, you can't engage in meat business, you can't buy livestock, slaughter them and sell them, and you can't sell meat as a business. This is the first one, which is very important. Not only in India, but also in Tibet, many people are doing such things. I heard that even some Zugu in Tibet are still doing this business. In Chubu Temple, many things were destroyed, but the slaughterhouse is still there and preserved. There shouldn't be slaughterhouses there. We want to create influence. As long as there is Gangcang Temple, there will be no slaughterhouse. I often think that the whole Kagyu school should do this, but now let's start with Okakura Kago. Therefore, from now on, there can be no more slaughterhouses co-operated or owned by temples, absolutely not. Not only for monks and nuns, but anyone who claims to be a believer in Okakura history should keep this in mind. Now the requirement for monks and nuns is: Don't have a large number of cook the meat. I once read a western magazine where ten monks cut meat together. It seems that they have been cooking and eating a lot of meat all day. Sometimes you may have to cook a little, but cooking a lot of meat for a large party, especially wearing a robe, is unacceptable and looks terrible. We often say that no sentient beings have never been our parents. Furthermore, wear a monk's robe to a slaughterhouse or butcher shop to buy meat-the only reason you go to a slaughterhouse or butcher shop is to buy meat-let's not go to a slaughterhouse or butcher shop again. If you really need to buy some meat, you should ask someone else to buy it for you. As a monk, it is very bad to go to the butcher shop to buy meat. Then, we should eat less meat. Usually we have three meals a day, and we can only eat meat in one of them or not at all. Or we can say, "I only eat meat once a month. "Tibetans usually think that some days are very important, such as the first day and fifteenth day, or the change of the moon and the holy month of Sakyamuni, and we can also not eat meat on those days. Some people can eat no meat at all, while others can't. However, at least they should eat less meat. Because if everyone eats meat in a society, it will be difficult to quit meat, but if a society or the whole environment doesn't eat meat, it will be easy to quit meat. If everyone is eating meat, it's hard to stop. In the next section, I will ask you how many people are willing to eat only one meal a day instead of the other two meals. Please raise your hand if you like. I don't need to meet each and every one of you, but you must make a commitment to yourself. Then I will ask how many people are willing not to eat meat on special days, and how many people are willing not to eat meat all their lives. So you have to think about it. In fact, there is not much to consider. You just need to make a decision. It's really useless to think too much. You just need to make a decision. One more thing, I forgot to say: the kitchen of any temple to which Okakura History belongs cannot serve any food with meat. If you take the meat to the temple kitchen and cook it there, it means that you don't take me as a teacher, and you don't belong to karma! There is nothing to discuss, that's all, these are all important. Especially in Tibet, it used to be very difficult, but now it is not so difficult because of the kindness of the Han people. Not only meat, but also many other foods, such as vegetables. You must think that eating meat is not good, eating meat is unclean and harmful to health. You must cultivate this view. This will benefit the longevity of noble Jawa Rinpoche and Aboga Ga (Editor's Note: Aboga Ga was the name of the French King before he was certified as Karmapa reincarnation). You can also use my name. If you want ApoGaga to live longer, it will help not to eat meat. And those are your fundamental teachers and people who have made great achievements. If you want them to live a long life, the best way is to eat less meat or not. In the next section, once you make a promise, you should keep it. If the first wish is easily broken, there will be a vicious circle, and it will be difficult to keep the wishes in the future, which is not good. If the first wish can make a very clear and powerful commitment, then the second and third time will be fine, so the first commitment should be very powerful. And don't make a promise unless you really can do it and have the determination to do it.
