Step 1: After wetting your hands with water, repeatedly press the kaolin on the embryo puller to raise it several times. The purpose of wet hands is to reduce the friction between hands and mud. This process can make the kaolin clay more delicate and remove bubbles in the mud. During the whole process, the hand should be fixed with the center of the disk as the center, and the knee can be used as the support point of the elbow, which makes it easier to control the movement of the hand.
Step 2: Squeeze the clay evenly around the center of the disc from the bottom to shape the clay into a cylinder, and then scrape a plane with your thumb at the top of the cylinder. The key point of this step is that the cylinder must be evenly located in the center of the disc and the plane of the cylinder should be scraped as flat as possible.
The third part, open, the thumb presses down vertically in the center of the cylindrical clay until a concentric hole is opened. This step must pay attention to the hole in the center of the disc, and the thumb hole should not be too deep to pierce the bottom of the clay.
Step 4, blank drawing: the right thumb evenly pulls the mud outward along the opening, and then the right thumb and palm evenly pull the mud upward from the bottom of the mud until it is cylindrical. In this step, it should be noted that in the process of blank drawing, the hand should not shake, and the force must be uniformly applied around the center of the disc. In the process of blank drawing, the clay can be thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top, and it must not be thinner at the bottom and thicker at the top.
Step 5, the vase is shaped, that is, the ceramic belly is evenly pushed out by the thumb of the right hand from the inside out, the clay blank is pulled up at the upper edge, and then the right hand is contracted from the outside to the inside to make the bottleneck of the vase. In this step, pay attention to the uniform force and don't shake your hands. Throughout the process, the left hand should firmly hold the clay blank, and the right hand should constantly pull up the vase during the plastic process.
Step six, the bottle mouth is plastic. Hold the bottle neck with your left hand and turn the bottle neck outward evenly with your right hand until the angle and shape you like appear. In the process of rotating the bottle mouth, the soil at the bottle mouth should be raised to avoid the bottle mouth from being sunken.
Finally, with a slight modification, a pure hand-painted ceramic vase was made.
