How to polish jade
Polishing the cracks of jade;
When polishing jade, generally use a brush to polish the gaps, or use bamboo sticks or chopsticks to stick polishing powder to polish, generally use a felt wheel to put polishing paste on the surface, or use cowhide to stick the prepared diamond polishing powder to polish the surface.
Manual grinding and polishing methods:
First, use 600# sandpaper for rough polishing, then use 2000# fine sandpaper for fine polishing, and then use a piece of cowhide and jade polishing powder for fine polishing. Personal experience I once polished jade with an old wallet, stuck polishing powder on the wallet, and rubbed the jade head on it with my hands. It took a long time but the effect was good.
(Note: Artificial friction velocity is slow, so it takes a long time) Cleaning: Use ultrasonic cleaning machine to clean the residual polishing powder on the jade surface or wipe it with alcohol.
Wax polish's polishing method:
Put the wax in a beaker, then melt it into liquid, then put the jade head in it, then soak it for about 1 min, then take it out and blow dry. You will be surprised to find that the jade head has become more beautiful. Polishing wax can protect the surface of jade and make its color so beautiful forever.
There is another method: put the jade head in a steamer and steam it for 15-30 minutes. When steaming stones, put paraffin in a bowl, and then steam the bowl in a cage until the wax becomes water. Take the stone out and put it in a place with little contact surface, for example, make a frame with iron wire, and then brush your stone evenly with a newly bought small brush (for painting) dipped in wax water while it is hot.
