Build your own barn.

When I was reading today, I saw such a story:

One day, an Egyptian Pharaoh had a very disturbing dream.

In his dream, he saw seven beautiful and healthy cows rising from the Nile, and seven ugly cows surfaced behind them. They are so thin that their bones can be clearly counted.

Suddenly, the thin cow jumped on the fat cow and ate them. Even so, they still look so thin.

Pharaoh called Joseph and asked him to explain his dream. Joseph said: "Seven fat cows mean that within seven years, there will be enough food and every citizen can eat. Seven lean cows herald the next seven years of famine. "

Pharaoh asked gravely, "Can't we do something?" Joseph replied, "Although you can't change him, you can be prepared. Appoint a minister of finance to put all the grain 1/5 harvested in good years into the barn. In this way, we will have enough food reserves in the famine year, so we don't have to go hungry again. "

This plan was implemented, and the death rate of Egyptians in famine years was greatly reduced.

After reading this story, I suddenly realized that I had experienced my own "seven famine years", but I didn't save that 20% in the "good years"

In the past few years, my salary was high and my expenses were high, so I never built a barn for myself. After finding a new job during this period, the salary is directly halved, which coincides with the climbing period of life. These "seven years of famine" may be quite uncomfortable.

Why is this happening? I asked myself, I should have fallen into two illusions.

The first illusion is that if I have been earning a lot of money, I would expect to earn more soon, but I didn't consider the black swan incident. Thin cows often appear faster than expected.

The second illusion, I often can't recognize a good year. Only when the famine year appeared did I realize how good my previous life was.

In order to cope with the famine of life, I must build my own barn, become my own finance minister, slowly cultivate this goose that can only lay golden eggs, and make full preparations for the future.
