The cause of dreams
When people sleep, other functions of the body will enter a state of rest, and even brain cells will slowly reduce their reactions, but even if people rest, they still do not enter a deeper rest. As long as there is a little stimulation in the external environment, they will start to move at once, which is why people dream.
If something exciting happens during the day, it will always come to mind until the human body begins to rest. Then when most cells of the body start to rest, some cells will still feel the stimulation brought by daytime events, so people will dream at this time, and this dream is very similar to daytime events. This is what people often say: thinking day and night.
Some scholars have found through theory and related experiments that nightmares are a type of dreams, so there are two main reasons for their formation:
The first is that nightmares can show human diseases through dreams. Usually, even before some major diseases occur, people will have some unnoticed symptoms, but these symptoms are very inconspicuous because major diseases have not yet occurred during this period.
But at night, when the human body begins to rest, most cells in the body are at rest. At this time, the cells are active, and the stimulation that is easily overlooked will stimulate some unstable cells in the cerebral cortex. At this time, it will show that the human body has begun to get sick through nightmares. Secondly, the human body is stimulated by the external environment during the day or by great stimulation from the inside of the body.
