This truth is very profound. This is eye to eye and heart to heart. Knowing this truth, when a Taoist who is meditating thinks about that meditation, when you decide, there is nothing to decide and nothing to do. Can the meditation master ask me to decide? What I enter, what I enter, what I can enter. Is this called meditation? There's nothing to say, nothing to say. Now, let's explain this Zen in depth. Zen is the heart, pointing directly at your heart. Watch it now! When you don't think about good and evil, life and everything is empty, where is your body and your heart? How do you print it? For those of us who learn to teach, learning to teach is similar to Zen, that is, teaching us to understand its truth according to Buddhist scriptures. According to Hyunri, who interprets the Buddha according to the classics, this is the enemy of the Buddha, not the disciple of the Buddha. If the word "away from the classics" is separated from the classics and the word "with the devil", how can it be realized in this inseparable way? Then all of us just finished listening to the class and left a sentence in the scripture, which was said by the devil; If you "interpret the meaning according to the text" according to the scripture, you are the enemy of Buddha. How to master in the middle? What's this called? In Hua Yan Jing, it is the truth of phase and absolute phase in vacuum. Where is your heart at this time? Where are you? Does your heart know your body? Or does the body affect the heart? When you want to attend, you should attend like this. The emptiness of body and mind is not what we usually call emptiness. How to give up? How did you get involved? If you know it, you will realize it. If you don't know, it will take decades, hundreds and thousands of years! If you really want to devote yourself wholeheartedly, then you can leave your thoughts, language, words, everything, even your body and mind. This is beyond our ability. Let's take a step back and say, "Tathagata Zen", according to your mind. Everyone who studies teaching methods knows it, so don't bother too much. How to choose "Tathagata Zen" and "Patriarch Zen"? You should know your root mechanism and how to adapt to it. I just said, don't read those quotations until everyone has done something. After reading the quotations, one is that you are easily possessed, and the other is that you are easy to get what you want and prove what you want. There are many realms in your meditation, and now they are all in front. You think you have it, or you think you have it, you will change your mind. Many big teachers used to think so, and suddenly wow, an illiterate, wow! I knew all the scriptures at once, and I wrote poems, thinking that I was enlightened, but I was fascinated! If you can put it down, then you will know that there is nothing. Before you really get it, you should stay away from it and feel it clearly. Why didn't I tell you anything as soon as I entered the meditation hall? Because you are afraid that you will follow other people's language, you don't know where to go when you turn. Without words, we chatted as soon as we entered the meditation hall. "Speaking" means, before you speak, before you speak, what is your state before you speak? You attend. What is the state of immobility? You attend. To "participate" in front of a person's mind and language, this is the "topic of conversation", which is called pointing at people's hearts. Here, observing your mind means what is your first thought when you wake up and open your eyes in the morning? Take care of your heart and see what thoughts it gives birth to. Some meditation halls, either because the master is different or because of the sectarian relationship they teach, require you to pay attention to your own starting point. Where did your thinking begin? Where does the pursuit end? Generally speaking, people who study teaching concepts are called tracking. From the moment he read it, no matter your good thoughts or evil thoughts, as long as you think together, where do you start? After you pay attention to the investigation, the idea seems to be gone. Once a teacher's father told me a method. When you are in a daze, you yell at yourself loudly! However, this method can only be used by one person or three or five friends in practice; If so many people in our meditation hall practice together, you will say, "Stop dreaming!" " "Don't be paranoid!" That won't do! You will influence others! You don't need this method. This is when you live quietly, or when you are alone. If you understand, "let's go!" This is a warning to yourself. If you faint, "Don't faint!" " "Don't faint!" Tell yourself! At least I can do it for 120 minutes or half an hour, and I really won't feel dizzy. I used it, but not in the group. If everyone sits together, this method will not work. When you are in the same place, you should find the origin of this idea. I said the same thing yesterday. Where does "the origin" come from? Then you look for its starting point, and that starting point is gone. If you look for a landing site, where will your mind stay? That's it. This is a thought together, so that after a long time, you can achieve no thought. No brains, not like Ji Shen, asleep! That kind of mindlessness is clear in your heart. At this time, you can ask for observation, or ask the question you doubt: "Where does life come from?" ","the text of this newspaper, broken, flow to where go to? "Find such a reason. If you come and go without a trace, then you have broken the idea of coming and going. In the middle of this coming and going, you will observe your life and study and analyze one by one. After the analysis, you will know that there is no place to go. Where did it come from and where did it go? I remember once, an old monk named Xu Yun taught us young monks under the age of twenty. There are always more than a dozen of us, some from school and some around the old monk. He taught us this method, and the children felt very little. " Where are you from? "Where to go? Where did you come from, where did you go, where did you go and where did you stop? " Look at it this way, look at it for a long time, put your heart into it, don't think about good, don't think about evil, think about it. When we say that people who study pure land and say that Zen pure land belongs to the bliss world and there is nowhere to come and go, please put forward your thoughts! It's great to be dense for three minutes, and then gradually increase. Under what circumstances is this used? Or sitting in a quiet house, doing it with a few Taoist friends, and having no social activities at all, otherwise it will not be intimate continuously. If you rest in a quiet house, three or five Taoist friends can practice constantly. When practicing meditation, don't care, don't cling to the time when all realms appear. A persistence, a concern, is the magic world. However, this is different from people who practice Zen and purity at the same time. When you do this kung fu diligently, you will have a holy place, and some will present a holy place. This holy place is not a magic industry, because when you learn Amitabha and live in pure land, Amitabha or Guanyin Bodhisattva or Bodhisattva, it is a holy place, not a magic industry. If you participate in Zen, you never thought it was a magic industry. There used to be a historical case in which an old yogi practiced in the mountains. He practices Zen. He had an apprentice at home, but he did nothing halfway up the mountain. His disciples are female disciples, mother and daughter, not far from where he lives. He has food every day, only once a day He is an intern there, but he feels that he has no skills. He only felt ashamed and had to go down the mountain to attend, and it was no good staying any longer. He said to his disciples, "I will go down the mountain and study elsewhere." I am destined to come back. " Mother and daughter failed to keep him. The host is leaving, and the weather is still very cold. So they made him a cotton-padded jacket and provided him with four small gold ingots. At that time, money was not paper money. That night, when the old man was meditating, a big lotus suddenly appeared in front of his seat. He thought to himself, "I am not repairing the pure land!" " I practice meditation, this is not a sacred place, nor is it my guide! "As long as you throw his lead into the lotus seat, the lotus will close and disappear. This is on the mountain. At the same time, his disciple's mare gave birth to a pony and died at birth. The youngest daughter said, "Mom! Mom! Did you see the horn on that pony's belly? This corner is the club. Her mother looked at it and said, "Isn't this a hint from Master? How did it get into the pony's stomach? Mother and daughter went up the mountain to find master enlightenment and asked, "Master, are you still there?" "The master said, getting started is gone! There was a scene yesterday, and I lost the introduction! " She said, "You threw it into my horse." Their mother and daughter told their master about the pony. Hearing this, her master said, "A cotton-padded coat, a leather, four gold ingots and four hooves. If the old monk hadn't made up his mind, you would have changed your mount. What does this sentence mean? Everyone will have many realms in the process of spiritual practice. The skill of your practice is to distinguish your realm. You have the ability, you don't have the ability, or you have a certain ability. Just before this state, if you practice like this with your usual hard work, you don't know what your skill is. In dreams, when you sleep and dream, you often have a dream realm, which is to test your kung fu. I want to practice meditation. How can I settle down? Today, a little Taoist friend, a laborer, suddenly saw me and saw no one around, so he asked me a few words, or he was afraid to ask. She saw that there was no one left. She asked me, and she said, old master! I want to practice meditation. How can I settle down? I said, what are you doing? She said: I am working! I said: I am concentrating! She was startled. She said, how can I work here? I said: heart! You think, but your heart is working. Labor, you live in labor, this is called meditation! This is called making good use of its heart. What you do and what you live in is the truth. But this principle! I can't turn around for a while. What do you mean, set? What is samadhi? It is you who wholeheartedly put this heart! Your heart is useless. Don't do this, think about that. You'll never achieve it. It is impossible to worship Buddha and meditate and chant Buddhist scripture. Being a heart can get rid of all kinds of dirt, which is called purity. Pure meaning means no distractions, which is called pure meaning. This is thought, not even thought. When you make this thing, when it is mature, it is useless. Ineffective use of Tao is natural, and it has no false function. When it comes to the uselessness of Tao, it is called purity. What are we doing? Separate your mind, you can't control your mind in one place, you can't control your mind in one place, you think about that thing when you do this thing, that is, your mind is very complicated, which is called impure. Heart is upside down, meaning is not clean. If you don't have distractions, you will have a pure idea, or even have no such idea in the end. This is called inaction, and this is called the method of no phase. There is nothing I can do, and there is nothing I can do. All are true Buddhism, which is the truth. In your ordinary life, you can feel this way at any time, instead of leaving what you are doing now. There is another clean way and another reason, so it is very troublesome. There is no such thing.
