It's ammonia

Ammonia water, also known as ammonia water, is mainly composed of NH3·H2O. It is an aqueous solution of ammonia, colorless and transparent, and has a pungent smell. The melting point of ammonia is -77.773℃, the boiling point is -33.34℃, and the density is 0.9 1g/cm? . Ammonia gas is easily soluble in water and ethanol. Volatile, with the universality of some alkali, ammonia water is made by introducing ammonia into water. Ammonia is toxic, irritating and corrosive to eyes, nose and skin, and can suffocate people. The maximum allowable concentration in the air is 30mg/m3. Mainly used as fertilizer.

Extended data:

1, for laboratory use

Ammonia is an important reagent in the laboratory, which is mainly used as analytical reagent, neutralizer, alkaloid leaching agent, aluminum salt synthesis and weak alkaline solvent. Used for the synthesis of aluminum salts, the verification and determination of some elements (such as copper and nickel), and the precipitation of hydroxides of various elements.

2. Military use

As an alkaline disinfectant, it is used to disinfect sarin. Commonly used is 10% dilute ammonia water (density 0.960), and the concentration used in winter is 20%.

3. Industrial use

Wool spinning, silk, printing and dyeing industries are used for washing, dissolving and adjusting pH value of wool, woolen cloth and grey cloth, and as dyeing auxiliaries. Organic industry is used as aminating agent and catalyst to produce thermosetting phenolic resin, and inorganic industry is used to prepare various iron salts.
