How to save yourself from nightmares

Self-help methods for falling into nightmares include: changing sleeping position, opening eyes, waking yourself up, struggling or kicking, and looking for courage from faith.

1. Change your sleeping position: When you are in a nightmare, try to change your sleeping position, such as from a lateral position to a supine or prone position. Changing sleeping position can wake up the brain and effectively end nightmares.

2. Open your eyes: Try to open your eyes in a nightmare and let yourself see the surrounding environment. Witnessing familiar scenes can help the brain return to reality immediately and end nightmares.

3. wake yourself up: try to wake yourself up in a nightmare and shout "wake up" and "this is a dream". Language can activate the brain and help you wake up from your dreams.

4. Struggle or kick: Try to move your limbs in a nightmare, such as struggling or kicking your hands, which can produce physical feedback and make your brain awake immediately.
