Coccidiosis is so small that it is invisible to the naked eye. They produce new spores through division and absorb nutrients from their hosts through parasitism. Rabbit coccidiosis is a variety of uncomfortable diseases caused by coccidia parasitism in rabbits, which mostly occurs in young rabbits aged 20 ~ 60 days.
The coccidia oocysts have strong vitality, and can survive for 4~9 months in soil and 15~ 18 months in warm and humid lawn. Besides rabbits, there are many animals, such as dogs, cats, minks, birds, cows, sheep, pigs, horses and deer. There may be coccidia in the body. If the lawn or soil is contaminated with the feces of these animals, coccidia cysts will also be left behind.
In the acute attack of coccidiosis, rabbits will suddenly fall down, their heads will fall back, their bodies will twitch, and they will die soon, and some of them will bleed or scream at the corners of their mouths. The manifestations of chronic diseases are loss of appetite, increased secretion of canthus, flatulence in abdomen, chronic diarrhea, and foul smell of hair around anus.
