The conscription work is arranged in a unified way throughout the country, and it will not be known until all services and arms join the army. According to the decision of the NPC Standing Committee on amending the Military Service Law of People's Republic of China (PRC): Article 10 The national military service is under the leadership of the State Council and the Central Military Commission (CMC), and the Ministry of National Defense is responsible for it.
According to the tasks entrusted by the Ministry of National Defense, each military region is responsible for military service in its own region. The people's armed forces departments of provincial military regions (garrison commands, garrison commands), military sub-regions (garrison commands), counties, autonomous counties, cities and municipal districts and the military service organs of the people's governments at the corresponding levels shall, under the leadership of the military organs at higher levels and the people's governments at the corresponding levels, be responsible for military service in their respective regions.

The military service of a unit with the People's Armed Forces Department shall be handled by the People's Armed Forces Department.
Units without the People's Armed Forces Department shall designate a department to handle it.
