When Master Xuanzang was old, his life was disturbed because of the tense relationship with the royal family and the heavy Buddhist work. Therefore, Master Xuanzang's physical strength gradually failed in his later years. After the Mahayana Sutra, his physical condition appeared. In addition, when I was young, I went to the western regions to learn from the scriptures and slept on the road, leaving many roots. In old age, these problems have appeared.
According to the records, the great disciple of Master Xuanzang dreamed that the floating picture in the Buddhist temple collapsed one day and went to his master to interpret his dream. Master Xuanzang told him that it's none of your business because I'm going to die. Only one day later, Master Xuanzang's physical condition took a turn for the worse, and he died soon after. After his death, only two words were left alive. In this way, Master Xuanzang died of illness and did not see the rise of Buddhism before his death. In fact, there is still a big gap between Master Xuanzang in Journey to the West and those in real life. The achievements of Tang Priest are just the tip of the iceberg in Master Xuanzang's life experience. At that time, in the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Xuanzong did not attach importance to the development of Buddhism, but to Taoism. Therefore, at that time, for the development of Buddhism, Tang Xuanzong endured humiliation and lived in obscurity all his life. But he also understood that Buddhism must be supported by the royal Li family if it is to develop. However, he did not see this scene before his death. After the death of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism was widely spread due to the influence of war. Just as Tang Priest couldn't get words from Journey to the West, the scripture said in the book that Tang Priest didn't leave many books before his death, but he tried his best. Let future generations understand that only by letting go of their obsession can they become Buddhas.
