The vicissitudes of family fate have made Cao Xueqin feel more and more indifferent to the world. He despised the powerful, stayed away from the officialdom, and had a deeper understanding of the darkness and evil of society.
Cao Xueqin's family moved to the western suburbs of Beijing in his later years. During this period, he began to write A Dream of Red Mansions. Poverty, illness and lack of medical care, and the death of a young son, all these blows came one after another, but Cao Xueqin persevered in his creation. Before and after "reading for ten years, adding and deleting five times", he created the immortal realistic masterpiece A Dream of Red Mansions.

Clever pairing of Cao Xueqin
It is said that there are only two wells in Siwangfu Village of Xiangshan, one in the middle of the street and the other in the back garden of the rich man Zhang Man Yuan Bo's house. Zhang bullied others and filled up the well in the middle of the street. The villagers had to go to his house to fetch water to eat. Zhang put a crock by the well, and whoever wants to carry water will throw a copper coin into it. The villagers were angry, but they were helpless. Zhang wrote a couplet: What is fire and water? He threatened that as long as someone crossed the line, he would no longer charge for water. When Cao Xueqin learned this, he asked someone to bring a pen and paper and wrote with a pen: A, B, Geng Xin and so on.
Propylene belongs to fire and nonyl belongs to water; The bottom line is that Party A and Party B belong to the East and Geng Xin is in the West. This line is not only obscure, but also scolded Zhang. Since then, villagers no longer have to spend money on drinking water.
