How should people set a suitable goal for themselves?

Personally, I think it is impossible, or meaningless rather than impossible. Because the so-called success (success here regards realizing one's dreams as success) requires too many factors, and success is influenced by too many external factors, so you can't predict the world situation and China environment in the next 50 years. So what's the point of planning a lifestyle in 50 years?

Why do you want to know your life dream? Because it will give you great motivation and passion, think about the difference in motivation between what you are doing boring and what you are doing to realize your dreams, and you will understand it easily. At the same time, the dream of life is the necessary basis for the follow-up planning and your goal, and your ten-year plan is to realize this dream. Of course, there are many benefits. For example, you want to change your job now, but you don't know which industry and company to choose. With your life dream, this decision will become very simple!

So, I said, the first step in planning is to find the dream of life! Life dreams are not hard to find. For many people, it is not a problem at all. He has had a dream since the second day of junior high school, and it hasn't changed until now (there are such people, such as me, Khan ...), so there is no need to find it (but it needs to be perfected), but for some people, some methods are needed to help themselves. Let's discuss this method first. In addition, the dream here should include career, life, emotion, social responsibility, family, leisure and entertainment.

"What is my life dream?" And "What would I do if I only had six months to live?"

Maybe you will suddenly find that some things are not important, and some things are important but ignored.

Then answer the second question in the same way, "What would I do if I only had six months to live?" . The purpose of answering this question is not to really tell yourself what to do in six months, but to force you to ask yourself what is really important to you!

Answer the second question and compare its answer with the answer of the first question. I believe you will be greatly inspired and see more clearly what is more important to you.

Well, at this point, the first step has been basically completed, which means that the dream of life has been basically established, but for those friends who plan their dreams for the first time, I suggest planning them four times a month, that is, once a week, so as to avoid missing something important to you. Of course, annual review is necessary.

Let's start the second step: ten-year planning!

Ten-year planning is the most important part in the whole planning process, because it is the most practical and closely related to our real life. Unlike a dream, it can only provide an empty thing, and it requires us to keep our feet on the ground.

The first step of the ten-year plan is to break down the dreams of life. Now you also break down your life dream by brainstorming, and write down the actions, small goals, resources and so on that you think may be helpful to realize your life dream.

The second step is to combine the ten-year plan. Why is it called "combination"? You will know later! Now that the things about life dreams have been decomposed, let's simply sort them out and organize them into a structure according to the order of realization and the priority of conditions. This is why I suggest using mind map, because it provides an excellent and convenient sorting method, which can greatly save time. When you organize and form the product structure after brainstorming, you can clearly see the general way to realize your life dream, and then you can easily find out how helpful it is to realize your life dream ten years later! Pick them out and you will form the goal of the ten-year plan.

The third step: the decomposition of the ten-year plan. I want to emphasize here that at this step, I personally suggest not to introduce the concept of time. Although it is a ten-year plan, don't introduce the concept of time! Especially for young people, the reason for the next "planning" will be clear. Continue to brainstorm, continue to organize decomposition, and decompose into a small goal or an action with a goal. It doesn't matter whether it reaches the level of Acitons here, because there is still a step ahead.

The third and final step of planning: crazy dreams!

I generally recommend such steps, especially for young people, because after graduating from college at the age of 25 and entering the society, they can make great strides in a short time and have many opportunities for change. I'm really sorry if I don't grasp it.

The so-called crazy dream is to compress the ten-year plan into five years!

Simple, right? Hehe, the concept of time is introduced here. Five years is not a long time. When you write down a goal in five years, you will naturally know what level you need to achieve in each of the next five years. Write down the goal of 30 years old (suppose you are 30 years old in five years), then 29 years old, then 28, 27 and 26 years old. Oh, they are really easy to write down, and there is not enough time. Then you have to hurry!

This is also the reason why I suggest that you can't reach the action level planned in the last decade, because you have to change everything! Let's start compressing now and see what the result is. Whether this is suitable for you depends on yourself. Some people like stressful ways, such as me. I think this is very interesting. Life is full of sunshine and passion at once! If you are really not used to this method, then I suggest you complete this step, because this compression gives you a good opportunity to recognize what is really important. To reduce the ten-year goal to five years, you must eliminate many goals, otherwise there will be insufficient time. When you really complete this compression, what is important and what is not can be clearly placed in front of you. If you really don't like this kind of planning with too much intensity and pressure, then you can go back to the second step and continue to take ten years as the final version of the planning!
