Who is the Duke of Zhou that people often talk about? Why do future generations always let him interpret dreams? Does it exist in history?

There are many anecdotes in the history of China. The name Duke Zhou should be a household name. People may think that this is a fictional character, but in fact Duke Zhou really existed, and his contribution to the country was not small.

Duke Zhou gave most people the impression that he was good at interpreting dreams. However, whether Duke Zhou can interpret dreams is not recorded in detail in this history, but his ability to manage the world is first-class. Duke Zhou is Zhou Wuwang's younger brother. Since the Duke of Zhou entered Zhou Wuwang, he has been assisting Zhou Wuwang with all his heart. Zhou Wuwang also trusted Duke Zhou very much and often asked his advice.

Duke Zhou also acted as a gentleman. When the Duke of Zhou attacked other countries, he also suggested that Shunde should be the basis for planning things, so that talented people could help govern the country, so as to achieve real development, establish good conduct and make other countries willing to support their own countries. In addition, Duke Zhou also cherished talents. When the Duke of Zhou met talents from other countries who came here, he still treated him with courtesy, which was enough to show his generosity. Duke Zhou's thought also had a great influence on Zhou, making Zhou's power more and more powerful. Zhou Wuwang has also established a certain prestige and fame in various countries, and passers-by only admire Zhou Wuwang.

Later, the Duke of Zhou gang exercised to see the support of various countries and Zhou's overall military strength. Many governors chose to respond to Zhou Wuwang's call, and they all suggested that Zhou Wuwang quickly send troops to attack the Shang Dynasty and win the fatuous and violent Shang Zhouwang. The duke of Zhou thinks that it is not the time yet, and he is not sure enough to win. He should go back and discuss the plan to attack Zhou slowly, so Duke Zhou suggested not to send troops for the time being. After another year, the strict system of Shang Dynasty aroused people's resistance, and more people took part in the crusade against Shang Dynasty. Duke Zhou suggested that Zhou Wuwang could attack at this time, and later successfully defeated the Shang Dynasty.

The Zhou Dynasty was thus established, but in the second year after its establishment, Zhou Wuwang died, and Zhou Wuwang's son was still too young. There is no ruler in North Korea at this time, and everyone is talking about it. The Duke of Zhou was afraid that someone in the imperial court would usurp the throne maliciously, so he held Zhou Wuwang's children in his arms and dealt with government affairs temporarily. But there will always be people who are not satisfied with this and want to sit on the throne, so they lied to the outside world that the Duke of Zhou took the throne for themselves and tried to kill Zhou Wuwang's children.

When the Duke of Zhou saw this, he could only explain it to other elders, and there was nothing he could do. He had to act as an agent until the people calmed down. Seeing that this method was ineffective, those little people who spread rumors made trouble with some people left by the Shang Dynasty and made the people of the Zhou Dynasty miserable. When the Duke of Zhou was informed, he immediately sent troops to quell the rebellion and further stabilized and unified the Zhou Dynasty.

For these insurgents, others suggested that they should all be put to death to prevent the rebellion from happening again, but Duke Zhou didn't think so. Duke Zhou did not want to impose cruel punishment, but chose to serve others with virtue, so he moved these prisoners to other places and sent more soldiers to guard them. The Duke of Zhou treated the ministers with outstanding military exploits very favorably and gave them a lot of land.

Because the system of succession to the throne is flawed, it caused quite a riot before. In order to prevent similar things from happening again, the Duke of Zhou was also worried that other ministers were greedy for the throne, so the eldest son succeeded to the throne, so that the brothers between the royal families would not turn against each other because of power.

Duke Zhou also made many changes in rites and music. First, he standardized the behavior of the elders and the younger generation, and also imposed certain restrictions on the princes and the people. He also stipulated the etiquette that people at different levels should have, even down to clothing and houses. Under the rule of the Duke of Zhou, the situation in the Zhou Dynasty was more stable. When the Duke of Zhou saw Zhou Wuwang's children grow up, he immediately handed over the throne to a new heir without any selfish interests.

Even Confucius admired the Duke of Zhou, repeatedly read the literature about the Duke of Zhou, and deeply integrated the Duke of Zhou with his own thoughts, so he dreamed of the Duke of Zhou many times. Later generations, out of reverence for the Duke of Zhou, also wrote books on dream interpretation in his name, but in fact, the Duke of Zhou himself was not good at prophecy.
