How long does it take for tomato seeds to sprout?
Tomato seeds are usually sown in spring and autumn. As long as the soil is wet, it will germinate in a week or so. Tomato seeds can be planted directly in the ground, but germination will be slow and the survival rate will be low.
Germination temperature of tomato seeds
The optimum germination temperature of tomato seeds is 25℃ to 30℃. If it exceeds this range, it will affect the differentiation of seed buds. When the ambient temperature is inappropriate, it can be kept in a greenhouse or indoors.
Tomato seeds germinated and unearthed
Generally, tomato seeds should be soaked for about 10 hour before planting. When the temperature, humidity, light, moisture and other growth conditions are suitable, tomatoes will germinate in about 3 days.
Method for accelerate germination of tomato seeds
Generally tomatoes are germinated by soaking seeds. First, soak the seeds in clean water for two hours, then put them in warm water at about 50℃, stir for about 15 minutes, then stop stirring, soak for another four hours, and then take them out.
