? Eight elements of dream interpretation

Two days ago, in the training class held by Shaanxi Xinyu Psychological Training School, I gave a lecture on dream interpretation again. Compared with the previous ones, I have added a lot of new things and summed up the eight essentials of dream interpretation, which I would like to share with you.

1. Ask about the dreamer's life background.

The life experience, hobbies and daily life trivia of the dream interpreter are needed, because dreams often reproduce the past, and the material in dreams comes from recent or early life experiences, which is a substitute concept of the subconscious mind.

2. Use free association.

Because the disguise of dreaming is carried out in the subconscious, the dreamer cannot directly realize the hidden meaning of the dream, so it needs to be revealed through association. Psychoanalytic dream interpretation is really simple. When the patient tells a dream, the analyst tells him to lie on the sofa and associate the dream. Freud put forward the selection scheme of dream interpretation technology: a. The analyst analyzes in chronological order, and the dreamer associates the order of dream content statement; B. the analyst specially selects the special factors in the dream for analysis; C. directly ask the dreamer what happened the day before; D. The dreamer is familiar with dream interpretation technology, so that he can decide where to start association. When the dreamer's association has made the subconscious desire emerge, the analyst can give an appropriate explanation.

3. Use symbolic knowledge.

Because a few dreams are difficult to realize through association, even if there is association, it is not necessarily what we need. At this time, we should use the knowledge of the fixed symbolic relationship between the image elements and the implied meaning of dreams to find out the implied meaning.

4. Understand the basic human instinct, complex and prototype.

(1) instinct

Freud said in his book Beyond the Principle of Happiness that narrow instinct refers to sexual instinct, while broad instinct is the internal driving force of human development, including life instinct and death instinct.

Natural instinct is no longer just for sex but for survival. Specifically, it is an instinctive force for survival, development and reproduction, representing an enterprising, constructive and creative vitality in human potential life. Including self-instinct and sexual instinct, hunger and thirst, * * * and so on, it is related to individual life and racial survival.

Death instinct, mostly not for death, but for killing. Specifically, it is an opposing force in the development of life and represents a destructive, aggressive and self-destructive driving force lurking in human life. As soon as its energy is released, it shows destruction, attack and provocation. When its energy is put inward, it shows remorse, self-punishment, self-destruction and so on.

(2) Complexity

Complexity refers to the concept group of suppressed or neglected emotions, which usually exists in the subconscious. Once it is manifested in behavior, it is often abnormal. Complexity mainly corresponds to the individual subconscious. Common complexes include narcissism complex, Oedipus complex, Oedipus complex, inferiority complex, Sisyphus complex and other personal complexes, such as power complex, depression complex, acute complex (caused by unexpected events) and chronic complex (caused by long-term accumulation).

(3) Prototype

Prototype is a primitive image, passed down from generation to generation, and has become the accumulated experience of human beings, which is mainly determined by human heredity and belongs to human beings. In fact, some are unique. (Sisyphus complex and lack of success, Wenquxing and wise old man) The prototype mainly corresponds to the collective subconscious. Common prototypes are: personality mask (tend to shape themselves into what society expects, and then act in a recognized way), shadow (the dark side of human nature,

5. Be good at combining other methods of psychoanalysis.

Many techniques of psychoanalysis are interlinked, and their theoretical basis is the same. Therefore, they can complement each other and help each other in practical application. 1), dream interpretation and image dialogue. 2), dream interpretation and hypnosis. 3), dream interpretation and personality split. 4), dream interpretation and sand table games. 5), dream analysis and HTP. 6), dream interpretation and free association

6. Pay attention to the relationship between dreams and culture.

Dream example: I stole my friend's water.

Today, a friend asked me, "Last night, I dreamed that I went to a friend's place. He is reading a book with a glass of water beside him. I drank the glass of water while he was not paying attention. " It feels weird. What's going on here?

Background: In reality, his friend is a learned man, but my friend is not as good as him, and he envies his friend very much, and always wants to read more books and surpass him. Before that, they answered some questions together. His friend did a good job, but he made many mistakes. At that time, he was envious, even jealous.

I said to him, "The ancients said, the benevolent enjoys Leshan, and the wise enjoys water. Your dream shows your envy and jealousy of the knowledge he has. "

Before I finished, he smiled and said, "Needless to say, I understand".

7. Pay attention to the principle that it varies from person to person.

Everyone's life experience is different, and everyone's subconscious expression is bound to be different. People of different ages, surnames, occupations and nationalities all have different dreams. Therefore, when interpreting dreams, we must treat them differently, which varies from person to person. For example, many fish swimming in the water is also a dream. For a young man, there may be sexual orientation, which may represent his desire for fish and water; For a middle school student, it may reflect his desire for freedom, because parents are too strict with their own discipline; However, for a fisherman, perhaps this fish symbolizes wealth, because there are many fish. For another example, the dream of the same big tree may have sexual orientation for a young woman, reflecting her desire for sex, while for an old woman in her 70 s, it may reflect her nostalgia and desire for vitality.

8. Learn to use the hidden rules of dream interpretation.

1) seems to be equal to, seems to be equal to, may be equal to, may be equal to.

2) The denial of the dreamer does not mean that the dreamer is incorrect; The dreamer said it might be, but in fact it was basically fully recognized; The repeated denial in the dreamer's mouth actually shows that his heart may have been affirmed.

3) Brothers and sisters, classmates and friends in the dream, if there are similarities in appearance and clothes, then we can think that they are different sub-personalities of the same person.

4) The words repeatedly emphasized by the dreamer, the things repeatedly described and the emotions repeatedly stated are often the entry points for us to interpret dreams.

5) Emotional reactions in dreams are often real.
