Working in coking plant is harmful to health, mainly including coal dust hazard in coal preparation system, coke oven gas hazard in coking system and benzene and coal tar hazard in chemical recovery system. Take measures to prevent smoke and dust:
① Strictly divide hot work area and fire prevention area. Fireworks are strictly prohibited in the fire zone, including everyone's fire prevention. It is forbidden for anyone to bring kindling into the fire prevention area, and it is forbidden to wear, carry or use clothes, shoes and tools that may cause sparks. Without special approval and special preventive measures, hot maintenance work shall not be carried out in the fire prevention area. Explosion-proof electrical equipment should be used in the fire area. Relevant equipment and pipelines should have good grounding devices to prevent static electricity accumulation;
② Prevent leakage and gas emission. The air on the surface of a first-class flammable liquid or a flammable or combustible liquid with a temperature higher than its flash point is itself an explosive mixture. In order to prevent this mixture from escaping, flammable and combustible liquid storage tanks must be inspected regularly; Pumps and pipes should be tight; The radiation pipe of each storage tank or production device shall be equipped with a flame arrester;
(three) there are perfect fire control facilities. Large and medium-sized coking plants generally have special fire stations and foam stations.
Prevention of poisoning: The materials used, handled and produced in the coking plant are not only flammable and explosive, but also prone to poisoning accidents. The main poisons are carbon monoxide, benzene, toluene, xylene, phenol, asphalt, hydrogen cyanide and hydrogen sulfide. The measures to prevent poisoning are mainly to prevent poison leakage. Containers, equipment and pipelines containing toxic substances must be cleaned before entering for internal maintenance. After sampling and analysis, it is confirmed that the internal air meets the allowable air in the workshop.
