Peking University has trained a large number of diplomatic talents for China. Tang Jiaxuan and Li Zhaoxing, two foreign ministers, xu dunxin and Nan Zhou, former vice foreign ministers, and Ling Qing, former chief representative of China's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, were all born in Peking University.
