Characteristics of kinship system
Kinship refers to the social relationship formed with human individuals through marriage or blood relationship. Parents, brothers and sisters and other relatives are also called relatives or family members, while others are called relatives.
Traditionally, the kinship system in China is based on male descent, which is divided into blood relatives, in-laws and in-laws. Relatives have specific kinship terms according to each person's generation, clan, age and gender.
China people's kinship terms are orderly, which has become a major feature of China culture. Traditionally, in China, the male line is the core, and when a woman marries, she belongs to her husband's clan, so there is no so-called "husband's affinity". However, women also have specific names for their husbands' parents, brothers and sisters.
